At the Law office of Lily Thomas and Saju Jakob we intend to mentor the next generation legal professionals. We offer law students the opportunity to work alongside experienced Advocates to gain valuable insight into the practice of law majorly in the Supreme Court and various High Courts.  Click here to view the Internship Guidelines. 

INTERNSHIP GUIDELINES

Before applying for the internship, kindly go through the internship guidelines carefully. 

1. We offer monthly as well as long term or assessment internships. 
2. An internship of one month is unpaid.  However, you will be paid an internship stipend if your internship is extended by our office for the next month/ months. Your performance is generally evaluated by your senior colleagues based on your hard work, punctuality, interest in the work, and attention to the minute details of the cases you are assigned to handle.
3. A long term or an assessment intern will also be initially taken in as a monthly intern. After assessing your performance for a month, it will be decided whether you will be converted to a long term or assessment intern. Long term/assessment internship continues for a period spanning over 6 to 8 months. Once you are selected as a long term or assessment intern, you will receive an internship stipend, as per industry standards.
4. An assessment intern would be converted to an Associate only after having gained substantial experience in drafting and litigation and not immediately upon enrollment. 
5. We look for interns with excellent communication skills including writing skills. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience of academic research-related activities and/or litigation internships-which is serious in nature for example- Judicial clerks or with senior advocates.
