I. INTRODUCTION
We offer law students and recent graduates the opportunity to work alongside experienced advocates, gaining valuable insight into the practice of law before the Supreme Court of India and various High Courts, as well as exposure to complex matters in both domestic and international legal frameworks.
Whether you’re interested in short-term or long-term learning engagements, either in national laws or international laws, our office provides a dynamic platform for practical legal training in a wide range of legal disciplines, including in national/ domestic laws and international laws.

II. INTERNSHIP POLICY
Interns will be exposed to a wide range of practice areas handled by our office, as described on our website in practice area. In the field of domestic laws, our practice spans a wide range of legal areas before the Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Delhi, various other High Courts across the country, as well as Appellate Tribunals, District Courts, and Sessions Courts. Interns will gain exposure to real-time litigation and legal strategy across multiple forums and jurisdictions.
Internship Policy on Conduct and Discipline
Internships in Domestic Laws are open to applicants interested in:
- Monthly internships- Initial Phase
- Long-term internships (Up to 6 Months)- Second Phase
- Assessment internships (6 months to one year) – Third Phase
- Monthly Internship (Initial Phase)
- All interns are initially taken on for a one-month unpaid internship.
- During this period, your performance will be evaluated by your senior colleagues based on:
- Hard work and diligence
- Punctuality and discipline
- Interest and involvement in the work assigned
- Attention to detail in case handling and documentation
- Court visits in Delhi including a mandatory visit to Supreme Court are part of monthly internships
- If your performance is found satisfactory, the internship may be extended for additional months, in which case you will be eligible for a monthly internship stipend for the extended period.
- Interns on this track may be considered for conversion into long term internship (up to 6 Months)
- Internship certificate for one month internship will be given within a few days on completition of the internship.
2. Long-Term Internship
After the successful completion of the initial one-month internship, suitable candidates may be offered a Long-Term Internship based on their performance and the office’s requirements. This role involves deeper engagement with drafting, case law research, litigation strategy, and court procedure.
Duration: Up to 6 months
- Interns are expected to demonstrate consistency, discipline, and a keen interest in litigation.
- A minimum monthly stipend will be provided as per industry standards.
- Interns on this track may be considered for conversion into an assessment internship
- Interns will be assigned to assist with:
- Legal research and analysis
- Drafting of pleadings and court documents
- Case preparation and litigation strategy
- Court visits and procedural assistance
3. Assessment Internship
- Duration: More than 6 months (up to 1 year)
- This track is intended for individuals who exhibit potential for future association with the office.
- An industry-standard stipend is paid during the internship.
- Assessment interns take on increasing levels of responsibility, often mirroring the role of a junior associate.
- Interns on this track may be considered for conversion into a full-time associate upon demonstrating:
- Strong drafting and analytical skills
- Courtroom readiness
- Maturity in handling independent assignments
- An internship certificate for the assessment internship will be given only after analysing the work report submitted by the intern and after assessing the real-time work done by them during the tenure of their assessment internship.
III. INTERNATIONAL LAW INTERNSHIPS- BOTH PRIVATE AND PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL LAWS
International Laws: Private International Law, Public International Law, International Conventions, Hague Convention, Corporate Law, International Contracts (Sales & Purchases, International sale of goods, International agency and distribution agreements, Application of international instruments like the CISG (Vienna Convention)), International Arbitration, Taxation, Employment Laws, IP Laws, Mergers & Acquisitions, Immigration Laws (including FERA, FEMA, RBI, OCI, etc.), International Family Laws( Marriage, Divorce, Custody, Property, Wills, Inheritance), Data Protection Agreements, International Banking and Insurance Laws, Comparative Constitutional Law and other areas of international laws, Maritime Laws, and International Immigration laws. This is more suitable to those who pursue their further studies in private international laws as the practice area is majorly private international laws. Interns are primarily dealing with questions relating to Jurisdiction, Choice of Laws/ Conflict of Laws, and Recognition and Enforcement of Laws.
Internships in International Law, particularly in Private International Law, are offered only to candidates who:
- Are willing to commit to a long-term internship of at least 6 months
- Demonstrate a clear and serious interest in Private International Law
Such interns will primarily be assigned matters relating to cross-border contracts, international arbitration, immigration, international family and inheritance law, data protection, and other transnational legal issues. They are also assigned international research in Private International laws including International Arbitration.
Preference will be given to candidates with a background in international legal studies, prior relevant research or academic work, or strong motivation to specialize in international practice.
IV. RELOCATION / ACCOMMODATION POLICY FOR OUTSTATION INTERNS
- Relocation Requirement for Outstation Interns
If you are not based in Delhi, NCR, or surrounding areas, we strongly prefer that candidates selected for long-term or assessment internships relocate to a location near our office, at their own convenience. This ensures better involvement in ongoing legal matters, court proceedings, and close coordination with the team. While accommodation is not provided by our office, we are happy to offer basic guidance in finding suitable PGs or hostels nearby.
2. Accommodation Policy:
Please note that our office does not provide accommodation for interns or trainees coming from outside Delhi.
- Accommodation arrangements must be made independently and at the intern’s own cost and effort.
- There are several PG accommodations and hostels available in the vicinity of our office, many of which offer full meal plans (three meals a day).
- Upon selection, you may contact our office for basic guidance or suggestions regarding available accommodation options.
We are happy to assist with information, but final responsibility for securing accommodation lies with the intern.
V. SELECTION PROCESS
Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Demonstrate excellent writing and communication skills
- Show genuine commitment to the legal profession and the Constitution of India
- Have completed serious, subject-specific internships with reputed law offices or under experienced advocates
- Exhibit dedication, discipline, and ethical responsibility
Application Requirements
- Please ensure that your CV with mandatory requirements, and Cover Letter are prepared with utmost care and accuracy, reflecting your genuine interest and relevant experience.
- If shortlisted, you will be contacted via phone or email and provided with an interview link. Interviews are conducted generally during the evenings or late evenings.
- Monthly Internship Selection
- Candidates applying for monthly internships will be given a one-time opportunity to present their basic legal knowledge, interest, and communication skills during an interview conducted by a team member.
- The selection criteria are liberal but structured, focusing on academic foundation, sincerity, and willingness to learn.
2. Long-Term/Assessment Internship Selection
- Candidates applying for long-term or assessment internships will be given up to two interview opportunities to demonstrate:
- Legal knowledge
- Research and drafting skills
- Communication and courtroom readiness
- Prior internship or research experience
- Applicants who express a serious intention to work as Associates in the future may also be asked to submit a sample article or petition as part of the selection process.
