2 to 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE – solicit applications for immediate appointment
We are seeking two full-time Legal Associates for our office in New Delhi. In your role as a Legal Associate, you will conduct thorough legal research, brief senior staff, draft pleadings and legal documents, review contracts, provide legal advice and appear in court (SC, HC and various District Courts in Delhi). It is desirable for the candidate to have a strong interest in Constitutional matters and other matters relating to the higher court. The candidate should be willing to conduct research in specific areas within this field of practice. This position reports to the Chief Arguing Counsel. It requires an individual who is self-motivated, driven, and eager to learn and grow in the litigation field.
Qualifications : Legal Associate with 2-5 year’s experience
A bachelor’s degree in law.
Admittance to/ enrolment with the bar mandatory and a minimum of two years (maximum 5 years) of relevant litigation experience in Delhi, including drafting, appearing in court, and conducting extensive legal research
Ability to conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and review contracts
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams
Capable of maintaining confidentiality, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines
Master command of Indian laws and legal systems
Excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing. SERIOUS CANDIDATES ARE PREFERRED.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficiency in online tools and writing articles, etc.
2. FRESH LAW GRADUATE WITH PREVIOUS INTERNSHIPS
Admittance to/ enrolment with the bar mandatory
Beginners or freshers are considered, subject to their prior internship with our office for 3 months
Ability to handle a heavy case load and a willingness to meet personally with all clients
Ability to work minimum 10 hrs is appreciated. At times, work load may be so high that you may be even asked to stay late in the evening at the office and to work on petitions or arguments
Excellent command over English language, excellent human being with humbleness, humility, gentleness, collegiality, high degree of integrity to uphold constitutional values and ethics, and respect for humanity
Experience with Lawyer’s office as intern an added advantage
Research cases by reading cases, case laws, interviewing witnesses, reading depositions, reviewing evidence and speaking with the client to determine the best strategy for defense
Attend all pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and advise clients following each hearing about the best strategies
Provide legal guidance and support to the clients
Assist clients with executing plea bargains and other agreements with the district Lawyer’s office
You will be grown up as an excellent lawyer with drafting skills, reading skills, litigation skills, arguing skills, and court-craft
